A CMA Project Manager makes regular visits to the facility to address current compliance issues. The project manager has access to the expertise of the entire CMA staff and provides regulatory support on an on-going basis to assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Industrial Hygiene In-Plant Air Sampling
CMA conducts (through its network affiliates) Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) type industrial hygiene air sampling of the work environment to determine the level of emissions that may affect workers. All employers must conduct such tests if they use any hazardous chemical or material suspected to be above the threshold level of exposure.

Safety Training
There have been pressures placed on employers to increase their employees’ awareness of hazards in the workplace. Federal and state legislation and enforcement require employers to inform employees who work around hazardous materials of the materials’ risks and proper handling procedures. OSHA regulations require that employees be given training that strictly adheres to specified course requirements. These requirements have led to a demand for a variety of courses to training employees.

Chemical Inventory
CMA will inventory and classify all on-site chemicals used in production according to industrial Material Safety Data Sheet (MSAS) standards. We then can often recommend alternatives that don’t require such stringent controls.

If you have ISO 14001 certification, you are most of the way towards obtain this type of designation.
